/usr/local/bin/radius for external terminals.
You do not need Node.js, a package manager, Homebrew, or a source checkout for
the app-bundled command.
Use the terminal inside Radius
Open a terminal tab in Radius and run:radius command is available automatically in terminals opened by Radius.
Those terminals also receive the current window, group, and tab context, which
makes them the easiest place to write group automation.
Use your regular terminal
To use the CLI from Terminal, iTerm, Ghostty, or another terminal:- Open Radius.
- Choose Radius → Install Command Line Tool… from the macOS menu bar.
- Open a new terminal window.
- Run:
radius command to your PATH and keeps it updated with the
application.
If another radius command is already installed, Radius preserves it. The menu flow
shows which command is active and lets you explicitly replace or repair the
app-owned launcher.
Install from npm
The standalone macOS package requires Node.js 20 or newer:Verify the connection
With Radius running:Repair or remove the command
Return to Radius → Install Command Line Tool… to repair the launcher or remove it from yourPATH. Removing the launcher does not uninstall Radius or affect
terminals opened inside Radius.
